Current exhibition

Wymondham Arts Centre is a project ot Wymondham Arts Forum.

It provides a varied programme of exhibitions and events in Becket's Chapel, Church Street, Wymondham. It is open from late March to the end of November.

2010 is effectively fully booked. 2011 is filling, but spaces remain.

The 2010 Autumn Show will open on 29 September and close on Sunday 10 October.

Artists are invited to download terms and conditions and a submission form.

Submissions must be received by 30 August. Handing in days 24 and 25 September.

The Wymondham Art Society is proud to present its 2010 Exhibition

The artworks on display are all original works created in a variety of media and styles by our many members, most of whom live locally.

Frequently works are influenced by personal interests, experiences and environments and this is reflected in the diversity of works exhibited.

The society is a community group, open to anyone, and has the intention of providing an opportunity for everyone to improve their art and knowledge. Our members enjoy frequent demonstrations by professional artists, sketching and painting days,monthly tasks, appraisals and social events. Members are encouraged to develop their skills in their own way and at their own pace.

As a club we meet every moth on the first Wednesday in the month at the Abbey Hall, Wymondham (opposite the Abbey). Members meet about 7-15pm ready for a 7-30 pm start and visitors are always welcome.

As part of the Heritage Open days exhibition from 7 -12 September, visitors will be able to comment on the sketch plans for the development of Becket's Chapel to make it more viable as a long term Arts Centre. THere will be a discussion of the plans at the meeting of the Wymondham Arts Forum, 7 for 7.30 pm, Tuesday 7 September at the Arts Centre.

Beginning creative writing - ten week course

Claire Sharland will tutor a course on Wednesday  22nd Sept - 29th Nov (no class 27th Oct). Fee £85 per student.
